WHAT'S NEW IN MARSHFIELD?

 

The Planning Commission will be holding a hearing on November 12th to discuss three proposed amendments to our zoning regulations.  For more information, see the Notice Board and the Zoning and  Planning page.

Town taxes were due August 14th.  School taxes are due November 6th. The tax bills were sent in July.  Here are the rates:

VACANCIES

 

Development Review Board

The Town of Marshfield is seeking a Development Review Board member. The Development Review Board is responsible for issuing subdivision and conditional use permits and site plan approvals.  Administrative experience and knowledge of regulations would be helpful.  Anyone interested should contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 426-3305 or send a letter of interest to the Marshfield Selectboard at 122 School Street, Marshfield, VT 05658

 

Conservation Commission

The Marshfield Selectboard is seeking a Marshfield resident with a strong commitment to working on local conservation issues to fill the remainder of a vacancy on the Marshfield Conservation Commission.  Examples of recent Commission work include the preparation of a Management Plan for the Stranahan Town Forest, monitoring vernal pools at the Stranahan Town Forest, sponsoring local nature walks, and clearing invasive plants from a riparian forest at the Martin Covered Bridge.  Experience with land stewardship such as farming, forestry and/or sugaring would be preferred.  Please send a letter of interest to the Marshfield Selectboard.
